AI Solutions Intern, Pre-Sales
Field Service & Critical Infrastructure
By applying to this position you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location and start date.
About the job
Generic AI reads the manual. Our platform captures what a customer’s best technician knows and scales that judgment to everyone else. Your job is to prove it, account by account, in front of people who have been disappointed by AI demos before.
As an AI Solutions Intern on the pre-sales team, you build prospect-specific proof. Given a target manufacturer, you assemble a company brain from publicly available service documentation and stand it up so it answers the questions that manufacturer’s own technicians would ask. You then turn that into the artifacts the sales conversation runs on: a working demo, a competitive teardown against generic gen-AI tools, and an ROI model built from that customer’s real escalation and truck-roll economics. When the Account Executive gets a meeting, you are the reason the meeting goes somewhere.
You will join a pod of one Account Executive and two sales development interns, and you’ll support both. You will also sit in on discovery calls and, where customers agree, ride-alongs and war rooms—because the fastest way to learn what an agent needs to do is to watch a technician struggle without one. What you learn goes straight to product; our forward deployed engineers and product team are a Slack message away, not a quarter away.
Strong performers are our first call for full-time roles.
Minimum qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field, or graduated within the last 12 months.
- Available for at least a 16 week commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
- Ability to read technical documentation—service manuals, fault code tables, device logs—and explain what it means in plain language.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, retrieval systems, prompt design, or agent frameworks, through coursework, projects, or personal work.
- Experience working with messy, unstructured data: scanned PDFs, free-text notes, sensor or equipment logs.
- Exposure to a physical or clinical environment—a lab, plant, hospital, machine shop, data center, or field maintenance setting.
- Comfort presenting technical work to a non-technical audience, including customers.
- Interest in the commercial side of technology and a willingness to be in the room when a deal is won or lost.
Responsibilities
- Build prospect-specific company brains from public service manuals, technical documentation, and other unstructured sources.
- Design and deliver demos tailored to a customer’s equipment, failure modes, and systems of record.
- Build ROI and business-case models grounded in escalation cost, repeat truck rolls, no-fault-found returns, and SLA exposure.
- Produce competitive teardowns and technical objection-handling material the whole pod can use.
- Support discovery calls and proofs of value alongside Account Executives and forward deployed engineers.
- Document integration questions and technical requirements from SAP, ServiceNow, Salesforce/ServiceMax, and CMMS environments.
- Feed field observations, gaps, and failure patterns back to product and engineering.
- Present a pre-sales capstone for a named target account to the founding team.
Compensation and logistics
This is a paid internship with a fixed stipend.
